Altea fills the Balconies with art
Altea has launched a new edition of "Balconades", an artistic exhibition that mimics the facades of the old town, which will take place from 19 July to 29 August. The registration period is now open. Participants can collect their canvases at the local Casa de Cultura until 11 June.
As the rules stipulate, participants over the age of 18 can take part, "either individually or collectively", and will be able to give free rein to their imagination, as the theme and technique of the works will be free, as it is every year. "The only thing to be taken into account is that they can be exhibited outdoors.
The exhibition will be made up of the first 60 paintings submitted, the rest will form part of the reserve. "Balconies that are offensive, that offend the sensibilities of the public or that do not meet the minimum conditions or quality for public exhibition may be excluded".
As in each edition, Altea will be the starting point for this exhibition of art in the wind, which after the first stop, will tour several municipalities: Alfaz del Pi, from 3 September to 1 October; Agost, from 6 to 17 October and Benimantell, from 5 to 30 November.
