In a great plain, between lagoons, you will find the City of Torrevieja. Long time ago, it grew up next to a tower “La Vieja”,  from which it takes its name.  It is located 48 kilometers from Alicante and 50 kilometers from Murcia.

Perfectly communicated by bus and car through good roads and highways. With direct tranport to Torrevieja after a flight to the airport of Alicante.

Its extraordinary temperature makes this area of 85,000 inhabitants a Perfect place to enjoy holidays. An unlimited supply of activities and the celebration of numerous “fiestas” organized, by the City Council and by private entities, are the guarantee of a pleasant stay in this town.

This location is very famous due to its salty pink lakes, its huge street market, the water park (Aqupolis), its nightlife. All this features make Torrevieja a perfect destination for vacation.

The weather in Torrevieja is a typical mediterranean one. Hot summers and sweet winters cause average temperatures of 19-20 degrees every year; Practically no rain, even during winter, with limited excepcions on specific days.

What to see in Torrevieja

Torrevieja’s Salt lakes and their production is one of the most important in Europe, so a visit to the “salinas” is essential. Two large salt lagoons are the particular hallmark of this tourist enclave. A place of high landscape and ecological value that will attract lovers of nature and photography. 

Things to do in Torrevieja

Torrevieja City shows of thanks to its abundant “Fiestas”. 

  1.  The year begins with the Cabalgata de Reyes and with the Carnival. 
  2. In May the multitudinous May Fair is celebrated. 
  3. In June the Bonfires of San Juan, where the beaches are filled with little fires and parties. 
  4. In August takes place the contest  of Habanera, very known outside our borders.
  5. In October the party moves to its most famous district, "La Mata".
  6. In December they honor their patron La Purísima Concepción.

FEBRUARY CARNIVAL

During the carnival festivities, more than two thousand people walk through the central streets of the city, parading, dancing and enjoying the tour organized for the Carnival of Torrevieja. The streets are full of colour, music and illusion, which gives these festivals a unique character and a special value. For this reason they are a point of reference within the area.
