Denia is a Town of the Costa Blanca focused mainly on tourism.  Located in the map of Spain in southeast, about 93 kilometers north of Alicante and 105 kilometers away south of Valencia.

What to see in Denia

Denia has many places of interest that will delight visitors. Among all of them we could highlight the Castle that once served as a fortress in the era of piracy of the Mediterranean. The Archaeological Museum and the Ethnological Museum. The Toy museum, which is located in the old train station. The fishing district headed by its port. The watchtower of the "Guerro". All this surrounded by the Natural Park of Mongó, place that has impressive views where you can see the “Cave of the Water”.

Things to do in Denia

The great environment of Denia offers visitors the possibility of trekking through different routes marked with different degrees of difficulty, on foot or by bicycle. Some of them are even adapted for families with children.

To the south, the hidden rocky coves are a paradise for nature lovers. Rugged coves with cold waters and crystalline backgrounds, ideal for scuba diving or fishing.

The name of the Denia's beaches are: Las Marinas, Les Deveses, L'Almadrava, Els Molins, Les Bovetes, Les Marines, Albaranas, Raset Point, Les Rotes, La Marineta Cassiana,

  1. The Trampoli, Punta Negra, Arenetes and La Cala.
  2. Las Marinas Beach is located in the northern part of the city and is formed by wide areas of sand
  3. The beach of Punta del Raset grows inmediately after the port area, and is also one of the most popular, with fantastic hotels next to the port.
  4. The beach of Las Albaranes is sandy and ideal to go with the family, since it has a wide range of sports services. In addition, it has a special landscape value thanks to the dunes that can be observed in the area and that are being preserved by the public entities through environmental programs.
  5. With the recognition of the Blue Flag, the beach of Les Bovetes is one of the most extensive and most visited of this coast. It is a marvelous beach that has easy access for people with reduced mobility.
  6. The beach of Els Molins is really far away from the urban center, which together with its great extension, makes it a little overcrowded beach. It also has the award of Blue Flag that certifies the quality of its waters and its services.
  7. La Almadrava de Dénia beach is a gravel beach that stands out for the clarity of its waters.

Fiestas in Denia

Among the many parties that are celebrated throughout the year in this Town we highlight the following:

Las Fallas 

A total of eleven Fallas are burned every year. The parties begin with the plantà and gunpowder shows. Parade, Mascletaes (fireworks), music, lunches and popular dinners, etc.

The Greater Fiesta;

Fills the month of July with an extensive program of festive activities in honor of the Blessed Blood that is composed of religious and other acts and activities such as sports championships, children's activities and musical concerts.

Moros y Cristianos

The streets are filled with Moors and Christians in the middle of the month of August, when they wear their luxurious costumes and walk through the town with music and the festive step.
