Costa Blanca - Covid and Tourism

Talking about Tourism and all that surrounds it, we don't know where this terrible situation is going to take us. The whole sector on the Costa Blanca and all its surrounding industry is facing a catastrophic situation.  The losses are estimated at 6000 million Euros (40% of the turnover of the whole year) and the positive effect of the vaccine has been reduced by the uncontrolled pandemic.  Worst of all, the situation looks set to continue until May.

Empty hotels, closed restaurants and businesses on the verge of bankruptcy make the situation unsustainable and make it necessary to ask for aid that never seems to arrive.

Within the Costa Blanca

Although it is true that there are some generic rules for the whole of Spain, it is very difficult to know what to do in each case if we do not want to break the rules. There are no general rules for everyone and in each town there are different restrictions.
At the moment, all restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés ..... are completely closed.  Shops and other businesses are open until different hours, depending on where they are located.  Towns with more than 50,000 inhabitants will be perimetrically closed for the time being, but only at weekends.  And we could go on like this for a long time.... If we want to be sure about all of them, we will have to ask the authorities concerned.

So the only thing we can say is that we have to be cautious to try to bring all this to an end soon.
