La torre bombarda

Built by Felipe II with the intention of fortifying the Spanish coast for the defense of pirate and corsair attacks. Located in a strategic place to defend the population, where it watches the bay of Altea and the cliffs of the coastal sierra. Not long ago an archaeological excavation and restoration of the tower was carried out to stop the deterioration and preserve it as a tourist attraction.

El Aljibe

It is thought that it was built to supply wáter to the soldiers who defended the coast. Thanks to the water, the lighthouse defenders of the XXth century, could plant and also be supplied with food. At the momento the path that used to reach the cistern was rehabilitated, turning it into a walk worth seeing.

Las minas de Ocre

Small mining dated from the nineteenth century, where the structure of pillars supported the rails by which the wagons circulated to the shore, where then loaded on the ships of the bay.
