Celebrations IN MORAIRA - TEULADA


January

The year begins with the great parade of the Three Wise Men dedicated to the little ones. Several floats run through the town filling the streets with music and colour. 

Held on one of the Sundays of the month, the local animals are taken to the main square to be blessed.  In addition this same date the bonfires of San Antonio are carried out.

Celebrations in February

San Blas is celebrated, known for the elaboration of typical sweets and dates full of celebration and activities for all people. 

Carnival is also celebrated this month. 


March

Depending on the day and the year, some occasion is celebrated in April. A week full of processions and bands through the streets. 


April and celebrations

In honour of San Vicente, this month the town's patron saint fiestas are celebrated. Many festive events and activities are aimed at visitors and residents. 

In the heart of Moraira Castle and during one week, the great gastronomic and commercial fair is celebrated there. 


Celebrations in May-June

The long-awaited Moors and Christians of Moraira are celebrated here. 

This month also coincides with the fiestas of San Juan, where numerous bonfires are lit to continue the tradition. 

July

The young festive groups of the municipality organize the Font Santa. These festivities include numerous activities throughout the town. 

In honour of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados (Our Lady of the Forsaken), the patron saint fiestas are celebrated in July, where the most important activity is the famous maritime procession. 

At the end of the month the so-called Sants de la Pedra are celebrated, also with various activities aimed at all audiences. 


August

It is in August when the Medieval Market opens in the old town of Teulada. Then begins a craft market and several other events and festivities. 

August also sees the increasingly popular Moraira Shopping Night, when the local shops open all night to make the best deals. 

September

Numerous wine tastings are prepared to honour the Muscatel Festival.


October

Oktoberfest: Where numerous activities and performances of music and spectacle are mixed, and where the German beer is not lacking. 


November

In honour of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, the bands play in the streets of the municipality during these dates. 


December

Moraira shops hold a trade fair in December, where they present their intentions and discounts for the Christmas campaign. 

The Christmas market also opens its doors, where the magic of the time floods the place. Perfect for children to have a great time, accompanied by adults.
